Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and project management expertise for the completion of capital and expense project and ensure that project’s timeline, cost and quality goals are met
Work with external engineering companies and contractors to secure bids and complete projects
Work with other department in coordinating project activities and develop internal customer relationships to successfully complete projects
Communicate with vendors on construction and spare parts as well as with other related government bodies to ensure compliance with related regulations
Prepare Capital Approval Request with sufficient details for local and corporate approvals
Lead construction activities for capital related work and ensure completion of projects on time and on budget
Provide alternative solutions to management for sound business decisions
Responsible for ensuring that all projects related work is completed in a safe, sound and ethical fashion
Update and maintain the engineering standards of the plant
Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering
At least 3 – 5 years experience in project handling in the chemical or petrochemical industry
Experienced in maintenance or process will be added advantage
A team player, result-oriented and driven with strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Must be willing to travel to other company sites, locally or abroad, for training and technical exchanges
Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is a must
