Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of electrical system and energy management of the plant including troubleshooting, problem solving, planning, developing, coordinating, executing and monitoring new strategy on processes/equipment.
Maintain electrical system and/or components to meet the required performance standards and focusing on safety and reliability of the entire system as well as continuous improvement programs.
Ensure the company’s electrical system meets all statutory and regulatory requirements as specified by Suruhanjaya Tenaga as well as terms and conditions of TNB.
Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, meet specifications, on time and within budget, as and when necessary. Tasks include prepare specifications for purchase of electrical related materials and equipment, review work costing, variations, project monitoring and system/equipment testing and commissioning,
Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Execute the new installation integration into current production systems / processes / equipments efficiently with minimum interruption to existing operations.
Ensure proper project documentations, i.e. manuals, license / permits / approvals, correspondences, drawings, and etc.
Conduct field surveys and study maps, graphs, diagrams, and other data to identify and correct power system problems.
Maintain good rapport and close relationship with consultants, contractors, government authorities and other relevant parties to ensure smooth and efficient implementation of projects.
Perform any other job/function that may be assigned by the superior.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the manufacturing facility
Candidate must have good fault finding and diagnostic skills
Familiar with industrial automation, pneumatic, hydraulic and SIEMEN PLC system
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Hands on experience in project management and familiar with regulatory requirements
