Responsibilities:
Work in 12 hours day shift (9am to 9pm) 4 days work and 4 days off/rest cycle as first level (Tier 1) support to Freescale factories at America, Europe and Asia region Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) systems.
Interact with factory personnel to diagnose and resolve factory manufacturing system issues.
Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate region’s Tier 2 CIM engineers and work with them through problem resolution.
Coordinate and document CIM Emergency Response Team (CERT) calls initiated to resolve critical factory downtime issues. Maintain issue/resolution logs and metrics as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Posses minimum 3 years experience in IT field.
Basic computing skills on the following platforms - UNIX, VMS, Windows.
Some knowledge of the following CIM application domains is desirable: Manufacturing Execution Systems (ME), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Equipment Integration (EI), Automated Process Control (APC), and Probe.
Applicant must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer facing skills.
Applicant must also have excellent communication skills and speak fluent English
